HOMESTEAD GAMES
A one-dev independent game studio building the worlds it wants to live in. No boardroom. No monetization department. Just games, shipped for the players who play them.
The Homestead Constitution
NEVER PAY TO WIN
Money buys hats, cosmetics, and good vibes — never power. No loot boxes, no energy timers, no "convenience" that's really a toll booth. If it changes the scoreboard, you earn it in-game.
NO INVESTORS, NO MASTERS
Zero outside funding means zero people in the room whose opinion matters more than yours. Every design call is made by the person who also answers the support emails.
PLAYERS FIRST. ALWAYS.
Bug reports get read, not binned. Balance changes get explained, not spun. This studio works for the people who boot the game — and nobody else.
Cyber Cowboys
The year is 2099. The frontier never died — it got a firmware update. Cyber Cowboys is a browser-based idle RPG set on a neon-dusted American frontier: level up your cowboy, fight outlaws, duel rivals, craft gear, join a posse, and build your homestead at the edge of the grid.
- Idle auto-combat that keeps grinding while you sleep off the whiskey
- PvP duels, posse wars, and server-wide world boss bounties
- Crafting, gathering, mounts, cosmetics, and player housing
- A live saloon chat that never sleeps — and a remort prestige system for cowboys who finish the map and want it harder
Live and fully playable in the browser right now — the Steam release wraps that same game in native trimmings: achievements, Cloud saves, and trading cards, built with the community's feedback.
Untitled Next Project
There's a second idea pinned to the workshop wall. It's not ready to talk about, and we'd rather show you something finished than promise you something shiny. What we can promise: it ships with the same constitution — no pay-to-win, no investors, players first.
What's next
readme.txt
Homestead Games is a fully independent game studio. We have no investors, no publishers telling us what the spreadsheet wants, and no monetization consultants. That means every decision — what we build, what we charge, what we never sell — is ours to make, and we make it for one group of people: the players.
Our games will never be pay-to-win. Not "at launch," not "for now," not "except for this one season pass." Ever. Support the game because you love it, and we'll keep the frontier open for everyone.

Built on the frontier, not in a boardroom
Homestead Games is a one-developer independent studio. Every line of code, every pixel, every balance number in Cyber Cowboys was made by the same person who reads the bug reports and answers the Discord pings. That's not a limitation — it's the whole point. Small enough to listen, independent enough to tell anyone "no."
The name is the mission: homesteaders built something for themselves and their neighbors, not for shareholders. That's how these games get made, and that's how they'll always be run.
